House of Delegates

The California Podiatric Medical Association's (CPMA) House of Delegates (HOD) is the legislative and policymaking body of the Association.  The House consists of doctor delegates elected by members from CPMA’s eighteen state component medical societies.

CPMA’s House of Delegates convenes annually to receive and review important issues impacting members, their patients, the Association, and the practice of medicine. In addition, The House addresses any number of issues referred to it by the Board of Directors and local component chapters including resolutions, changes to the Association’s bylaws, matters regarding charters, etc.

During the Annual Session, The House elects CPMA’s Board of Directors (Officers and Directors-at-Large) for the coming year.  Also elected during the session is the California delegation to the American Podiatric Medical Association’s (APMA) Annual House of Delegates for the following year. Additionally, The House recognizes and honors members for their contributions and service.

Serving in CPMA’s House of Delegates is an excellent way to get involved in your Association and to help make a difference in the practice of podiatric medicine in California. CPMA needs your voice and experience to help develop meaningful policies that benefit the patients and practitioners of the healing art of podiatric medicine.
